The Queensland University of Technology Basketball Club fields
teams in the Brisbane Basketball Incorporated Senior Competitions. Games for these leagues are played at the Vince Hickey Stadium which is located on Dixon St, Auchenflower. Teams:
QUT Basketball currently has 3 teams competing in the 2009 Winter Season. All the teams currently play on a Sunday evening.
We are looking to expand the club next season(July to November) with hopefully four men's and two women's teams depending on interest. We will hopefully have a couple of different nights available with Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays also an option to enter teams in. There will hopefully be two mens teams and one womens team attending Northern University Games from July 5-8 and at least one mens and one womens attending Australian University Games from September 22nd to October 2nd. The location for matches at Auchenflower are marked on the map below.
Training:
Training is currently held on a Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at Healthstream Gym located at 44 Musk Avenue, Kelvin Grove. To get into the courts you need to go to level 1 and enter through the gym then catch the lift up to level 2 where the court is located. The training facility is marked on the map below.Costs:
The following is a guideline as to how much it will cost to play basketball with QUT Basketball Club.Brisbane Basketball Inc. Rego $97 per year.
Games $10 per game.
Training $5 per week.
Jersey $65 (Jersey + Shorts)
