QUT Basketball was launched at the beginning of 2009 to allow students attending QUT to be able to play club Basketball at a friendly and social club. Teams representing the QUT Basketball Club play in the Brisbane Basketball Incorporated (BBI) competition, run at the Vince Hickey Basketball Stadium in Auchenflower, Brisbane.

The club will also send teams to the Northern University Game and Australian University Games.We currently have 2 Men’s and 1 Women’s social teams that compete in the Brisbane Basketball Association competition. Games are held on a Sunday evening at 18 Dixon St, Auchenflower.

Training is currently being held on a Wednesday Evening although we are looking to expand to a Friday session as well. Teams have already been selected for the current season due to nominations closing on the 9th of February. We are hoping to expand to have more teams and on different nights in the Summer Season running from July until November. More information is available on the Interested In Playing page.
